Amber Mitchell, DrPH, MPH, CPH
Amber Mitchell, DrPH, MPH, CPH
Dr. Mitchell is the International Safety Center´s President and Executive Director. The center distributes the Exposure Prevention Information Network (EPINet®) to hospitals to measure occupational exposures to sharps injuries and other blood and body fluid exposures.
Dr. Mitchell's career has been focused on public health and occupational safety and health related to preventing infectious disease. She has worked in the uniformed services, public, private, and academic sectors. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the Occupational Health and Safety section of the American Public Health Association (APHA).
Dr. Mitchell began her career as the first OSHA National Bloodborne Pathogens Coordinator and has received several Secretary of Labor Excellence Awards for her work on bioterrorism and public preparedness. She is a Senior Science Adviser for the NIEHS worker training program for COVID-19 response.
She holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health and a Master’s in Public Health from The George Washington University.
She is certified in Public Health as a member of the very first CPH cohort offered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
Admir Hadžić, MH, PhD
Dr. Admir Hadžić is a board-certified Internist and Anesthesiologist (Columbia University, NY, USA). He holds a doctorate degree (PhD) and honorary professorships at Karol Marcinkowski University, Poznan, Poland, and the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He is also a professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL), Belgium, one of the most prestigious universities in Europe. Dr. Hadžić is the founder of NYSORA and the author of three bestselling books in anesthesiology. He currently spends his clinical time in the largest orthopedic regional anesthesia clinical and educational center he built, in ZOL Hospital, Genk, Belgium.
Chris Lynch, MD
Dr. Chris Lynch is an ABOS Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who is fellowship trained and specializes in adult reconstructive surgery, hip & knee, arthritis surgery, and computer assisted surgery. Dr. Lynch has been in private practice for 16 years and is a partner at Connecticut Orthopaedics, the largest private Orthopaedic specialty group in Connecticut. Dr. Lynch is also a founding surgeon of the Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute (COI) at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut.
Dr. Lynch performed the first computer navigated total knee arthroplasty in New Haven County. He continues to utilize these modalities and actively consults regarding the further advancement and development of navigated total knee alignment and balancing systems.Dr. Lynch, the Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute and the COI MAB have been fully behind the incorporation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. This includes the use of multimodal pain management strategies to improve post-operative pain and all the benefits associated with it.
