Julius Wilhelm Braun acquired the Rose Pharmacy in Melsungen and expands it by starting a mail-order service for local herbal remedies.
Bernhard Braun, Julius Wilhelm Braun's son, takes over the business and begins to manufacture pharmaceutical products. He registers B. Braun as a company in 1867.
The first B. Braun production site in a foreign country is opened in Milan, Italy.

B. Braun Indonesia has officially opened its new Technical Service facility in Cikampek, West Java.
This facility will provide faster, more efficient, and higher-quality after-sales service for medical equipment (including repairs, calibration, and spare parts replacement), and offer training for healthcare professionals on medical device operation and maintenance.
