B. Braun Indonesia reinforces its commitment to advancing medical technology by introducing OMNI – One Life Means Everything, a state-of-the-art solution for Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) tailored to meet the complex demands of intensive care units (ICUs). Unveiled during the prestigious 16th Annual Meeting of ISICM in Denpasar, OMNI not only delivers precision and efficiency in renal therapy, but also pioneers immersive medical education through Virtual Reality (VR), marking a transformative step in critical care services across Indonesia.
Held on September 5–6, 2025, the event was organized by the Indonesian Society of Intensive Care Physicians (PERDICI) and brought together anesthesiologists, ICU physicians, and critical care nurses from institutions nationwide. The launch of OMNI was supported by key figures in the intensive care community, including Dr. Erwin Pradian, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.T.I(K), Subsp. An.R(K), M.Kes, Chairman of PERDICI; Dr. Ahmad Irfan, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.T.I.(K), Secretary General of PP PERDATIN; and Dr. Putu Agus Surya Panji, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.T.I.(K), Chairman of the ISICM Organizing Committee. Joining them was Pei Lin Soon, Director and Head of Product Business, B. Braun Avitum Asia Pacific, who presented OMNI as a new benchmark in extracorporeal therapy.
OMNI is engineered to deliver comprehensive support for CRRT in ICU settings. With a renal dose achievement rate of up to 98% and recovery time under 5%, the system features automatic compensation to ensure consistent therapeutic targets. Its Plug & Play design and 10-minute priming time significantly reduce clinical workload, while offering complete CRRT modalities and anticoagulation options for managing acute kidney injury and sepsis.
On the second day, participants engaged in hands-on sessions to explore OMNI’s capabilities, including an interactive VR-based training experience. This immersive simulation allows healthcare professionals to practice machine operation, alarm handling, and troubleshooting in a realistic virtual environment. Designed for repeated use, the VR training aims to enhance clinical proficiency and reduce patient risk.
Through the launch of OMNI, B. Braun Indonesia continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting healthcare innovation in Indonesia. By delivering solutions that simplify ICU operations and elevate patient care standards, B. Braun remains a trusted partner in shaping the future of critical care.
