On November 15, 2025, B. Braun Indonesia reaffirmed its dedication to environmental responsibility through a CSR initiative focused on cleaning the Ciliwung River, known as one of the most polluted rivers in the world. Collaboration with Komunitas Peduli Ciliwung and Wastehub, the activity successfully collected nearly 400 kilograms of waste, which was sorted into organic, hazardous (B3), and residual categories.
As part of the initiative, B. Braun Indonesia also built a composting facility to improve organic waste management. The launch was marked a signing ceremony by President Director of B. Braun Indonesia, Rainer Ruppel, which is expected to serve as an educational resource that benefits for local community in the long term. The event also included the release of Tor Soro fish, also known as “Ikan Dewa,” as a step toward restoring the river ecosystem affected by years of waste accumulation. Although a small step, it is an important effort to bring natural life back to the Ciliwung River.
This program inspired by the B. Braun Charity Run 2025, reflects the company’s sustainability values while delivering a positive impact on nature long burdened by waste. During his remarks, Rainer stated the donation of Charity Run now becomes real action, it is a program that benefits both nature and society.
This initiative was successfully carried out thanks to the voluntary participation and support from B. Braun employees, PUPR Kota Bogor, Satgas Naturalisasi DAS Ciliwung Cisadane, Satgas BNPB Kota Bogor, Kelurahan Kedunghalang, and the local neighborhood leaders. Their collaboration ensured smooth execution and amplified the positive impact of the program. Through these actions, B. Braun Indonesia emphasizes that caring for nature is not just a program but part of the company’s mission. The hope is that every step taken will inspire more people to work together to protect the environment for better health for future generations.
