Position HTO High Tibial Osteotomy

Treatment system for opening wedge high tibial osteotomy

Position HTO Plate
The varus (bowleg) deformity causes often an arthritis in the medial compartment of the knee. By opening the tibia on the medial side, the weight bearing line can be shifted from the damaged medial compartment to the lateral compartment.
The Position HTO plate is a minimal-invasive, angle stable implant system that stabilizes the opened tibia by the combination of the plate, the angle stable screws and the spacer that is fixed on the plate. The degree of the realignment of the tibia can be calculated exactly by using the OrthoPilot® HTO navigation software. The precise realignment of the weight bearing line is an important factor for a good operation result.

Position HTO System
The easy to use instruments are specifically designed for the implant and make the minimally invasive surgery possible. The small anatomical plate design promotes bone regrowth in the osteotomy gap, whilst still providing adequate stability to maintain the correction permanently, in combination with the angle stable screws and the selection of spacer blocks. The Position HTO system gives the surgeon the opportunity to react flexibly to each of his patients. Using the long screw slot he can vary the alignment of the plate on the tibia, and the spacer blocks allow him to perform the HTO with or without a bone graft.
