B. Braun Indonesia Collaborated in the Success of the Basic Surgical Skills Course Program

For Nearly a Decade: B. Braun Indonesia Collaborated in the Success of the Basic Surgical Skills Course Program

1 June 2023 – B. Braun Indonesia again held the Basic Surgical Skills Course (“BSSC“) from 1 to 6 June 2023 at the Bali International Training and Development Center & Aesculap Academy Skill Learning Center, Tabanan, Bali.

Basic skills in surgical procedures are essential competencies that must be possessed by every prospective doctor who performs surgical services, both minor and major surgeries. Therefore, B. Braun Indonesia again held the Basic Surgical Skills Course (“BSSC“) from 1 to 6 June 2023 at the Bali International Training and Development Center & Aesculap Academy Skill Learning Center, Tabanan, Bali. The BSSC program is an internationally standardized training method applied to provide basic surgical skill competencies to resident surgeons, as this course is licensed in collaboration with The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

The BSS course, which was attended by 250 participants, ran smoothly. Participants were divided into three batches, where each wave underwent training for two days. The BSSC program is required to be attended by prospective surgeon students from all State Medical Faculties, surgical study programs in Indonesia. President Director B. Braun Indonesia, Rainer Ruppel was also present to ensure the success of this BSSC program. An important role in the success of this program is the collaboration between the Indonesian Collegium of Surgery and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, also fully supported by Aesculap Academy and B. Braun Indonesia, which has been running for almost a decade.

Through the commitment to share expertise, B. Braun will continue to support programs to increase the competency and knowledge of Health Practitioners in Indonesia as an effort to protect and improve the health of people. The hope is that this program can continue to produce expert doctors with excellent quality to answer the challenges of the ever-evolving world of health.
