Supporting the Waste Care Movement, B. Braun Successfully Collects 500 kg of Waste Savings
B. Braun Indonesia, through the Trash Bank program, succeeded in collecting more than 500 kg of waste which had been sorted by B. Braun Indonesia colleagues during the period April to December 2023. All sorted waste will be deposited at the Bank Sampah Latanza Cikampek, Karawang for further management and recycling. This initiative is an effort by B. Braun Indonesia to encourage the growth of community and employee intention to manage waste appropriately by sorting and processing waste by utilizing a Waste Bank.
This Trash Bank program is also accompanied by education on sorting household waste and a sorted waste savings program. The goal is that waste produced by households can be managed and sorted, and can reduce the volume of waste piled up in final disposal sites (TPA). Not only that, apart from having a positive impact on the surrounding environment, this program also provides economic opportunities with additional income from waste saved in the Waste Bank.
